Devin Harris was in London last week playing for the New Jersey Nets against the Miami Heat. He took some time out to play one on one with some local kids (or so he thought) in the park.
Little did he know that the scrawny chav he was playing was none other than Stuart Tanner, UK street ball legend, Suffice to say, he got hustled hard!
Effing priceless:

Devin Harris Gets Hustled

Being unpatriotic is not a criminal offence
Why is it that the media always complain about sports stars acting guarded, then when they let their true feelings known they go ballistic. "frequent use of the n-word", wow, imagine that.

When Worlds Collide
Hood legends Robbie Fowler and Baron Davis meet at last! Along with Juan Pablo Angel, Thierry Henry, Saloman Kalou, Steve McManaman, Jason Kidd, Raja Bell and Leandro Barbosa they showed support and came out for their boy Steve Nash' charity football (soccer!) match in New York this week. Speaking from someone who enjoyed killing every other school in basketball after suffering endless defeats on the football pitch it's obvious that the skills are equally non-transferable in the pro's. Although Baron Davis did manage a header with his LA Dodgers fitted on, LOL.

Maybe he should of written it down?
For a guy that alleges to never write a rhyme down maybe he could of used a pen and pad to have an answer ready for the question everyone was wondering. What do you actually do at the Nets? Answer .... "Ummmm, eeeerrr, I'm an investor". Oh dear, he even cracked a smile when asked. Horribly caught out. Thats alright we all know the answer - "nothing, im just the poster (step) child of the organization"

Role Reversal For Kobe
Four teams left in the playoffs, two of which no-one wants to see in the finals. Spurs-Pistons would be a ratings/entertainment disaster. Of the two matchups left one holds far greater interest than the other. The whole world will be cheering on the once, most hated on man in the league. Now lets see if Kobe and his yellow and purple army can take out the whinging, cheating, dirty, boring but annoyingly good San Antonio Spurs.

Playoffs (where stats dont mean shit happens)
His team is bad, but in a league based on indvidual performance there is no one player, double or triple team that can stop him. Providing at least one other player can get hot each game, they got this round at least. I expect Boston to prevail however, and take the Pistons, this year KG will not be denied, will overwhelming hunger for a title, again not figured in the stats. Beyond the Pistons consecutive conf. finals appearances is a team whos arrogance and previous success will be their downfall yet again. Boston look good for the finals, again various analysts will point to the bench and inexperience of Rondo. Well guess what, they performed all year and will continue to do so. Out in the west, the Lakers are looking good for the finals, Gasol is one of the best players in his position and will continue to be underestimated due to the fact of his nationality. Another point not picked up in the stat line.

Community Care: NBA vs The Premier League

NBA hammers The Premier League
The All-Star game came and went. Just as impressive as the weekends entertainment was the work the NBA put in away from the court through NBA Cares. The benefits of which, will last well beyond the weekends memories. Spearheaded by league commissioner David Stern , 2500 people (including many current and ex-players) assembled to help build and rebuild playgrounds, schools and homes in New Orleans. This is just part of the leagues commitment to donating $100 million to charity, providing a million hours of hands on service to the community and creating 250 places where kids and families can live, learn or play. The Premier League on the other hand has their "Creating Chances" initiative where by each club will send out a player to spend a maximum of 4 hours with the winning community program or charity that wanted a "chance" delivered by The Premier League. Football clubs are responsible for their own charity work and although The Premier League does have other projects, these are tied in with other organisations and the government. Maybe they are doing their bit, I certainly didn't find any evidence of it. I feel a league that is looking at a turnover of £1.7 billion this year certainly could be doing a lot more.
