J-A-D-A Press re-play

Jadakiss again masters the art of saying the most with the fewest words. His style of short, broken sentences and short words has been the formula taken by most mc's since his arrival, which for the most part goes unnoticed.

New Jadakiss - From Now Till Then (Prod. by Alchemist, cuts by Primo). Download (here)

Bonus - One of Jada's finest moments 'Still Feel Me'

Unsurprising news of the week

The only colour that counts is green.

According to this report the cracka's at General Electric have shut down Nas' album title. Now the album has a different N word. N--. Nas.

Skyzoo - The Neccessary Evils

Great record, from another fire mc from Brooklyn. CornerStore Classics mixtape available on itunes.

Heres a couple links for tracks from the boy:

Skyzoo ft. Wale - Lyrically Inclined (here)

Skyzoo ft. Cl Smooth - Perfect Timing (here)

Remember this guy?

Shyne

Locked up for 7 years now, hoping to get out by the end of the year. His official release date is 2009. Listening back to his first release he clearly paved the way for explicit (exaggerated) coke tales and violence with no vocal conscious making full use of freedom of expression. Thats the liberal artistic viewpoint at least, you could say, it's more bullshit you heard before from a different voice. Nowadays these type of raps are commonplace (jeezy, the clipse) but after getting thrown under (into) the bus by Puffy on a one way ticket to prison he at least serves as a reminder of what happens when art imitates life or vice versa depending on your own perspective.

Shyne - The Commision

Cory Gunz

The new BAPE or the new Gino Green?

On first listen the flow is crazy,  but listen to it again. Is there much content in what hes saying? Does it matter? Rumour has it Weezy changed his verse on  A Millie after he felt Cory outshined him somewhat. One things for sure, the fact hes Peter Gunz son sure makes me feel old. Check it out and decide for yourselves

Joell Ortiz freestyle on MK show

More free vibes

Still looking for part 3 of the halftime show 10th anniversary that wasn't broadcast. Wanna hear Ill Bill, Masta Ace and Craig G rhyme over new beats from Marco Polo and Premier. Well, we got the link right (here).

A hip-hop nerds wet dream

Eminem and Premier together!

It's true!

I just got a call from Eminem," Primo

If eminem wanted a primo track, he should of called the alchemist, you know being 2008 and all. Anyway

The regression of Shawn Carter

(Jigga back to the future?)

"are we hustling or are we grown up?" This is what Joe Budden asked. Well, Jay once said 30 is the new 20 (well, something like that), I guess he thinks he's 20 again based on these latest tracks. 40 this year, rapping about things you did 20 years ago in present tense is not progress.

New Papoose mixtape

Back from dealing with those Jive turkeys. Heres Pap's first offering for 2008. Can he re-create his buzz of '05-'06 or has the major label fallout killed whatever momentum he had left? Decide for yourself.

Papoose - Build or Destroy

Joell Ortiz + 90's beats = fire!
