Ny Mayor Bloomberg "gunning!" (get it) for Plaxico Burress
"Our children are getting killed with guns in the street. Our police are getting killed," the furious mayor said in demanding Burress get no special treatment for his alleged crime and coverup.
"I think it would be an outrage if we didn't prosecute to the fullest extent of the law."
The state Health Department and NYPD launched investigations into New York-Cornell Hospital, which finally admitted it broke the law by hiding the fact that Burress - under the alias Harris Smith - was treated for a gunshot wound.
Bloomberg trashed the Giants after it was revealed that cops learned about the shooting only from television reports hours later, despite the team's apparent knowledge of the events. The mayor added that anything short of the mandatory 3½-year minimum for Burress, if convicted, would be "a sham, a mockery of the law." (ny post)
Burress charged with two counts of felony posession of a weapon in the second degree.
Stephon Marbury banished from the Knicks
After some brooklyn stubbornness from Stephon, the Knicks tell him to stay away whilst they think of a way to not pay him $20 million for doing so.
Marbury not happy, expressed this with another crazy quotable
"it’s like we’re in a foxhole and I’m facing the other way. If I got shot in the head, at least you want to get shot by the enemy. I got shot in the head by my own guys in my foxhole. And they didn’t even give me an honorable death.” What!?
As Charles Barkley said "If Lebron wants to come to New York, he better win the championship because if he doesn't they gonna kill him!" Indeed.
